This presentation refutes the theory that cybersecurity is an unquantifiable black box filled with unknown unknowns, and argues that the industry is at a turning point where it must mature as a partner to support organizational growth.
Attendees will learn about misconceptions surrounding cybersecurity’s supposed immeasurability and how well-quantified cybersecurity is necessary to make efficient, informed security decisions.

Peiter Zatko, better known as Mudge, is considered a luminary in information security. His technical works are considered foundational in significantly shaping the modern field of cybersecurity as we know it.
In addition to decades of technical contributions, Mr Zatko's 30+ years in the industry have included leadership roles in the U.S. Department of Defense, a $100Bn fintech company, Motorola, Google, and on the executive team of Twitter, while it was still a publicly traded company. He presently serves an advisory role at Rapid7 as Executive in Residence.
