Rapid7 Integrates with Microsoft Azure to Provide Visibility, Analytics, and Automation for Cloud Security

Rapid7 Insight platform integration with Azure increases visibility of threats in cloud and hybrid environments, helping to power the practice of SecOps between Security, IT, and DevOps

Boston, MA — July 17, 2018

Rapid7, Inc. (NASDAQ: RPD), powering SecOps through its visibility, analytics and automation cloud, today announced integration between Rapid7’s Insight platform and Microsoft Azure. This integration provides modern vulnerability management, analytics-driven incident detection for hybrid environments, and simplified agent deployment within the Azure infrastructure. Rapid7 customers utilizing Azure now have, through InsightVM and InsightIDR, increased visibility into security vulnerability and attacks within their cloud and hybrid environments.

Today’s security teams must work across IT and DevOps to maintain secure environments through orchestrated and automated processes that reduce risk while also limiting impact to system uptime and performance.  As the adoption of private and public cloud models continues to rapidly increase, organizations are making cloud security a major focus area. Rapid7 customers can use the Azure integration to gain visibility, analytics, and automation to provide a more detailed view of risk prioritization, pragmatic remediation steps for threats and attackers, and support for hybrid environments to empower their IT and DevOps teams.

“While Rapid7 has always focused on making security powerful and accessible, we are also deeply aware that security teams need the ability to more quickly work with both IT and DevOps in order to embrace the modern cloud network,” says Lee Weiner, Chief Product Officer, at Rapid7. “Our InsightVM and InsightIDR solutions are purpose-built for organizations investing in cloud infrastructures. And now by integrating with Microsoft Azure, we’re simplifying vulnerability management, attacker detection for hybrid environments, and agent deployment for our customers within the Azure infrastructure.”

“It’s imperative that organizations have access to solutions that help prevent and detect attacks within their environments,” says Adwait Joshi, Director Product Marketing, Azure security, Microsoft Corp. “We are excited to see Rapid7 make its solutions and security expertise available to Microsoft customers, providing them with increased visibility into security vulnerabilities and improving the overall security of their networks.”

InsightVM for Azure Security Center accelerates the process of deploying agents to Azure virtual machines running Windows and Linux. Users can deploy this modern vulnerability management solution to their infrastructure, designed to give them the confidence to act before the moment of impact.

InsightIDR for Azure Active Directory integrates with users’ cloud hosted identity and access management tools to enable analytics-driven incident detection in their hybrid environment.
