Prior to v1.11.17 and v1.12.9, the CVS daemon is vulnerable to many avenues of attack such as integer overflow, double-free() issues, and format string overflows. The impact of these vulnerabilities range from denial-of-service to the execution of arbitrary code by an anonymous user.
