Description

PHP is an HTML-embedded scripting language commonly used with the ApacheHTTP Server.A buffer overflow flaw was found in the way PHP parsed floating pointnumbers from their text representation. If a PHP application converteduntrusted input strings to numbers, an attacker able to provide such inputcould cause the application to crash or, possibly, execute arbitrary codewith the privileges of the application. (CVE-2009-0689)All php users are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, whichcontain a backported patch to correct this issue. After installing theupdated packages, the httpd daemon must be restarted for the update totake effect.
