Say hello to InsightConnect with this two-day interactive course, packed with tips and tricks to help you successfully add automation to your existing products using InsightConnect. Whether you’re just getting started with information security and automation or are looking to simplify your processes, our experts will help you master the essentials. From installation requirements and configuration to establishing reusable components, we will introduce you to best practices and common troubleshooting techniques to put your team on the fast track to a more efficient workday.

For flexible and accessible learning, this course is offered both virtually and on-site at your facility. The virtual class is hosted remotely on a Rapid7 lab and features simulated exercises in a specially prepared environment. Customers who participate in on-site trainings will apply their learned skills in hands-on scenarios in their own environment.

All participants will have access to the Insight Connect Certified Specialist Exam as part of their training program. Participants will gain skills and techniques to be productive with the product quickly and use the knowledge gained from class to become certified.

Day 1

On Day 1, you will explore automation concepts from both a product-agnostic and InsightConnect-focused perspective. We’ll also run practical labs focused on installation basics, as well as creating simple triggers, running a basic workflow and building your workflow from simple to more complex actions.

Day 2

Day 2 will focus on more advanced workflow and job topics to include passing information between workflow steps, handling errors and job failure, and creating reusable components to creating your own toolbox. Students will finish day 2 trying their hand at creating a workflow start to finish in session breakout format.

Ideally, attendees should have the following:

  • Beginner to intermediate automation experience
  • Beginner Windows® System administration familiarity
