Canon Wireless Printer Denial Of Service

The HTTP management interface on several models of Canon Wireless printers allows for a Denial of Service (DoS) condition via a crafted HTTP request. Note: if this module is successful, the device can only be recovered with a physical power cycle.

Module Options

To display the available options, load the module within the Metasploit console and run the commands 'show options' or 'show advanced':

msf > use auxiliary/dos/http/canon_wireless_printer
msf auxiliary(canon_wireless_printer) > show actions
msf auxiliary(canon_wireless_printer) > set ACTION < action-name >
msf auxiliary(canon_wireless_printer) > show options
    ...show and set options...
msf auxiliary(canon_wireless_printer) > run

Time is precious, so I don’t want to do something manually that I can automate. Leveraging the Metasploit Framework when automating any task keeps us from having to re-create the wheel as we can use the existing libraries and focus our efforts where it matters.
