Description

This module exploits a buffer overflow in AOL\'s AIM Triton 1.0.4. By sending an overly long CSeq value, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with the privileges of the affected application.

Module Options

To display the available options, load the module within the Metasploit console and run the commands 'show options' or 'show advanced':

msf > use exploit/windows/sip/aim_triton_cseq
msf exploit(aim_triton_cseq) > show targets
    ...targets...
msf exploit(aim_triton_cseq) > set TARGET < target-id >
msf exploit(aim_triton_cseq) > show options
    ...show and set options...
msf exploit(aim_triton_cseq) > exploit

Time is precious, so I don’t want to do something manually that I can automate. Leveraging the Metasploit Framework when automating any task keeps us from having to re-create the wheel as we can use the existing libraries and focus our efforts where it matters.
