Description

The test-cgi script included in older distributions of NCSA HTTPd and Apache HTTPd does not properly sanitize user-supplied request parameters. It is possible to retrieve a file listing of any directory readable by the web server process by sending a POST request with the Content-type header set to a path on the server.

Solution(s)

  • testcgi-cgi-disable

With Rapid7 live dashboards, I have a clear view of all the assets on my network, which ones can be exploited, and what I need to do in order to reduce the risk in my environment in real-time. No other tool gives us that kind of value and insight.
