Description

A Quake3 getstatus operation retrieves a variety of free-form, server-specific metadata that describes the Quake3 server and the connected players. While the contents of a response vary from server to server, the size of the response can be upwards of 500x the size of a request, and because it utilizes UDP, this can be used to conduct traffic amplification attacks against other assets, typically in the form of distributed reflected denial of service (DRDoS) attacks.

With Rapid7 live dashboards, I have a clear view of all the assets on my network, which ones can be exploited, and what I need to do in order to reduce the risk in my environment in real-time. No other tool gives us that kind of value and insight.
