Description

fusermount in FUSE before 2.9.3-15 does not properly clear the environment before invoking (1) mount or (2) umount as root, which allows local users to write to arbitrary files via a crafted LIBMOUNT_MTAB environment variable that is used by mount's debugging feature.

Solution(s)

  • suse-upgrade-fuse
  • suse-upgrade-fuse-devel
  • suse-upgrade-fuse-devel-static
  • suse-upgrade-fuse-doc
  • suse-upgrade-libfuse2
  • suse-upgrade-libulockmgr1

With Rapid7 live dashboards, I have a clear view of all the assets on my network, which ones can be exploited, and what I need to do in order to reduce the risk in my environment in real-time. No other tool gives us that kind of value and insight.
