Description

The affected asset is vulnerable to this vulnerability ONLY if it is running one of the following modules: mod_dav AND an attacker which is authorized to use the LOCK method on a location where WebDAV authoriing access is configured. Review your web server configuration for validation. An issue was discovered in the mod_dav module which could be triggered for a location where WebDAV authoring access has been configured. A malicious remote client which is authorized to use the LOCK method could force an httpd child process to crash by sending a particular sequence of LOCK requests. This issue does not allow execution of arbitrary code. and will only result in a denial of service where a threaded process model is in use.
