Description

MIT Kerberos 5 (aka krb5) 1.7.x and 1.8.x through 1.8.3 does not properly determine the acceptability of checksums, which might allow remote attackers to forge GSS tokens, gain privileges, or have unspecified other impact via (1) an unkeyed checksum, (2) an unkeyed PAC checksum, or (3) a KrbFastArmoredReq checksum based on an RC4 key.

Solution(s)

  • oracle-solaris-11-1-upgrade-system-kernel-security-gss-0-5-11-0-175-1-11-0-3-2
  • oracle-solaris-11-2-upgrade-consolidation-osnet-osnet-incorporation-0-5-11-0-175-2-0-0-42-2

With Rapid7 live dashboards, I have a clear view of all the assets on my network, which ones can be exploited, and what I need to do in order to reduce the risk in my environment in real-time. No other tool gives us that kind of value and insight.
