Description

Wireshark before 1.0.7 is affected by multiple vulnerabilities:

  • A format string vulnerability in the PROFINET/DCP dissector in certain versions of Wireshark could allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a PN-DCP packet with format string specifiers in the station name. (CVE-2009-1210)
  • When running on Windows, an unspecified vulnerability in the LDAP dissector could allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service via unknown attack vectors. (CVE-2009-1267)
  • The Check Point High-Availability Protocol dissector in certain versions of Wireshark could allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted FWHA_MY_STATE packet. (CVE-2009-1268)
  • An unspecified vulnerability could allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted Tektronix .rf5 file. (CVE-2009-1269)

Solution(s)

  • wireshark-upgrade-1_0_7
