The mission of InsightIDR, Rapid7’s natively cloud SIEM, is a simple one: eliminate the complexity that stands between talented security teams and successful detection and response. In an industry riddled with shelfware, customers need a SIEM that’s easy to deploy and see value from right away. In a space flooded with false positives and never-ending alerts, expertly curated detections are critical. In an environment where attacks are measured in seconds and remediation is measured in months, we know how critical it is to provide correlation, context, and automation to dramatically accelerate response. All of this should be available in an intuitive product that doesn’t compromise on capability for the sake of simplicity.
Since launching InsightIDR in 2016, we’ve been steadfast on this journey and continually raising the bar for what a next-gen SIEM experience should be. Earlier this year, we received research recognition as a Leader in the Gartner 2020 Magic Quadrant for SIEM. While we were thrilled about this recognition, we are even more elated to announce our customer recognition! Rapid7 has been recognized as a Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for SIEM in the July 2020 Gartner Peer Insights ‘Voice of the Customer’: Security Information and Event Management.
We are incredibly grateful to our customers who helped us get here, and for your continued candor, feedback, ideas, and willingness to test and iterate with us. Your openness about the challenges of the modern SOC have fueled our roadmap and delivery, and continue to help drive our team.
But we aren’t done yet.
As a founder in the User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) category and one of the only natively cloud and SaaS SIEMs in the space, we take a great amount of pride in being first and pushing the envelope around what a SIEM can (and should) be. In the first half of this year, we introduced a number of new features and capabilities to unlock more use cases for our customers. These include the introduction of Network Traffic Analysis (NTA) to provide greater environment visibility in a single interface, a number of efficiency enhancements around search and reporting (including the launch of visual search), and continued investments in extensibility (including event sources for Trend Micro Deep Security, Mimecast, and Forcepoint Security).
As teams drastically shifted to larger remote workforces this year, we were energized by customers’ unwavering commitment to visibility and coverage; this further reaffirmed our belief that a cloud-based SIEM approach with coverage across the SOC triad (endpoint, network, and user) is a must-have for successful, modern security teams. There is much more to come in 2020, and we look forward to the opportunity to continue demonstrating to our customers that InsightIDR is the best choice for building successful detection and response programs.
